MARSHALS TRAINING INFORMATION
One of the life bloods of all forms of Motorsport across the UK, be if F1 or WRC, are the countless volunteer marshals who
turn out in their large numbers on a regular basis.
Their value, from the grassroots up to the world stage, is immensely valued by the sport and one of the obvious ways this
is shown is by the provision of FREE training on a regular basis across the sport.
Here with the North West, there are a number of such days each year, in 2010 these being :
Saturday 30th January
In Stockport, commencing 08:30 until 16:00 the opportunity for all existing or prospective Rally Marshals to attend a
training day covering all aspects of Rally Marshalling, via a combination of lectures and hands on practical sessions for
trainees all the way up to and including prospective and existing Stage Commanders, including In-stage marshalling, Timing
Marshals, and Radio Marshals. These days include hands on practical Fire Training and practical Incident Training in 2010.
Whilst there will be free tea and coffee on arrival and during the day, lunch is available locally at a variety of
establishments at prices to suit individuals budgets.

Saturday and Sunday (20th/21st) February
Each day covers a different aspect of Race Circuit marshalling, similarly via a combination of lectures and hands on
practical sessions for trainees, depending on whether you are an existing Post Chief, Flag or Specialist Marshal (Saturday)
or trainee or existing experienced marshal looking for Track, Incident or Incident Officer training (Sunday). This Training
will be at the Oulton Park circuit on both days, with MSV (the owners of Oulton Park) selling hot food in the Chequers
restaurant at lunch time.
