The Association of North-Western Car Clubs organizes a Marshals Championship,
covering all events that qualify for the ANWCC Competition Championships (list of
events available on request, or visit Calendar page).
Anyone who officiates or assists in the running of an event by an ANWCC
member club is eligible for the ANWCC Marshals monthly draw, but points for the
ANWCC Marshals Championship will only be allocated for events qualifying for the
ANWCC Championships (excluding the Allrounders), plus all Training Sessions.
Membership of an ANWCC member club, or any motor club, is not mandatory.
Contenders will be required to claim "draw tickets" and points by completion
of a “Claim Card” and submitting it to the ANWCC
Championship Secretary within one month of the event. Alternatively, cards can be
requested from the ANWCC Championship Secretary. Claims by e-mail, post or
textphone (07788 995345) will also be accepted.
Contenders will be required to supply their name, address, telephone number,
e-mail address, club and MSA Marshals Registration Number and Category (if
appropriate). This information will be held on computer and made available to
organizers, unless the contender opts out under the Data Protection Act by giving
written notice.
Points will be scored on the following basis:

control marshal, Safety marshals, Track marshal, Service Area operators, Recovery

| E | Assisting pre-event or post-event (2 points for each) in such
duties as setting-up/dismantling stage/tests, collating paperwork before/after,
sorting equipment before/after, PR work, etc. Not applicable to persons listed in
section (A) or (B) above.

Points gained under sections (D), (E) and (F) are
cumulative. All points must be claimed, they will not be allocated automatically.
Claim cards will be issued, but claims may also be made by letter, fax or e-mail.
Random checks will be made to ensure that claims are valid.
Two-day events can be claimed as two separate events.
Points will be published at regular intervals on www.anwcc.org.
A prize fund has been set up and it is anticipated that competitors and
supporting companies will contribute to the fund, this fund will be used for the
monthly draws and for end-of-year prizes to the top marshals.
In addition to the prize-fund, ANWCC awards will be presented at the
conclusion of the championship year to the top marshals. There will be also be an
award to the top Junior marshal (under 21 years of age as at 1st January 2008).
A monthly draw will be held, from all claims received during a calendar
month, with a prize being awarded a lucky winner. The draws will take place
quarterly at the ANWCC General Meetings. Winners will be announced on
www.anwcc.org/Marshals page.
