What we think may have been the first MSA Inter-Association Sprint Challenge was held at Curborough on Sunday 15th June, the event organised by the Nottingham Sports Car Club.

ANWCC has a strong Sprint following and we entered two teams, the scoring being based on class positions - the team with the lowest aggregate being declared the winners.

Our "A" team comprised our registered contenders from Lincolnshire - Paul Dowsett (Peugeot 106 GTI) and Paul Webb (Royale RP31) both gaining class wins, along with George Cole (Alfasud Ti) who finished second in class, giving them a score of 4.

Our "B" team comprised the Spener brothers, Jim and David, in the Sylva Striker (or is it a RAW Striker?) who gained 1st and 3rd respectively, along with a "guest" team member, David Drucker in a TVR Cerbera who finished second in class, giving them a score of 6.

However, the East of Scotland Association of Car Clubs gained three class winners and an unbeatable aggregate score of 3.

Ties were decided by overall positions, the results being as follows:

Pos, Team (Class placings) ... Score (Overall positions aggregate)
1, East of Scotland Association of Car Clubs "A" (1+1+1) ... 3 (31)
2, East Midlands Association of Motor Clubs "B" (1+1+2) ... 4 (22)
3, Association of North-Western Car Clubs "A" (1+2+1) ... 4 (187)
4, East Midlands Association of Motor Clubs "A" (2+3+1) ... 6 (19)
5, Association of North-Western Car Clubs "B" (2+1+3) ... 6 (157)
6, Association of West Midlands Motor Clubs (4+2+1) ... 7 (31)
7, East of Scotland Association of Car Clubs "B" (3+2+3) ... 8 (60)
8, Association of Northern Car Clubs (3+2+4) ... 9 (120)
9, Association of North East & Cumbria Car Clubs (2+NS+NS) ... Withdrawn

Well done to our teams for their efforts - next year, perhaps?
